JT/T 808 GPS tracking software
China's national standard for vehicle tracking, and the protocol behind most dashcam trackers.
JT/T 808 is a government standard rather than one maker's design, so devices from many factories speak it - including most of the 4G dashcams that carry video and tracking in one box. Anything sold for the Chinese domestic fleet market will usually speak it.
Connect a JT/T 808 tracker
- Server
- device.gpsaero.com
- Port
- 5015
- Protocol
- jt808 (TCP)
Add the tracker in the panel with its IMEI, set the address above on the device, and it appears on the map at its next report. Nothing else inside the tracker is changed, so it keeps doing whatever it did before.
Models in this family
- Huabao JT808
- Howen
- Streamax
- Jimi JC400
- Relingtech
Another model from the same maker will almost always speak the same protocol and connect the same way. If yours is not listed, ask us and we will check it.
Questions
- Does Aero Global Limited support JT/T 808?
- Yes. JT/T 808 trackers (Huabao JT808, Howen, Streamax, Jimi JC400 and others in the family) connect using the jt808 protocol and are supported today.
- Which port does a JT/T 808 tracker use?
- Port 5015 over TCP, at device.gpsaero.com. Set that address and port on the tracker and it will appear on the map as soon as it reports.
- Can I keep my JT/T 808 trackers if I change platform?
- Yes. Nothing is changed inside the tracker except the server address it reports to, so the same hardware keeps working and no vehicle has to be visited.
Try it with your own JT/T 808
Point one tracker at the server and watch it on the map before you move the rest. Nothing is changed on the vehicle.
