Wialon IPS GPS tracking software

An open protocol many makers add so their device works with any Wialon-compatible server.

Wialon IPS is a published text protocol rather than one company's device, so a great many trackers can be switched into it. If a device supports it, it is often the simplest way to connect a tracker whose own protocol is unusual.

Connect a Wialon IPS tracker

Server
device.gpsaero.com
Port
5039
Protocol
wialon (TCP)

Add the tracker in the panel with its IMEI, set the address above on the device, and it appears on the map at its next report. Nothing else inside the tracker is changed, so it keeps doing whatever it did before.

Models in this family

  • Wialon IPS 1.1
  • Wialon IPS 2.0
  • Wialon Combine

Another model from the same maker will almost always speak the same protocol and connect the same way. If yours is not listed, ask us and we will check it.

Questions

Does Aero Global Limited support Wialon IPS?
Yes. Wialon IPS trackers (Wialon IPS 1.1, Wialon IPS 2.0, Wialon Combine and others in the family) connect using the wialon protocol and are supported today.
Which port does a Wialon IPS tracker use?
Port 5039 over TCP, at device.gpsaero.com. Set that address and port on the tracker and it will appear on the map as soon as it reports.
Can I keep my Wialon IPS trackers if I change platform?
Yes. Nothing is changed inside the tracker except the server address it reports to, so the same hardware keeps working and no vehicle has to be visited.

Try it with your own Wialon IPS

Point one tracker at the server and watch it on the map before you move the rest. Nothing is changed on the vehicle.
